Terry L. Huffines has served as Lead Pastor at First UMC of Elon since June of 2004.  He is a native of Elon and a graduate of Western Alamance High School, Brevard College, Pfeiffer College, and Duke Divinity School.  Terry is happily married to Jeannie and has one daughter, Melanie, and two stepchildren, Emily and Jeremy.  He has served several appointments within the North Carolina Conference.  Currently he is a member of the Conference Missions Team, the District Committee on Ordained Ministry, and the District Connectional Table.  In addition to the joys of ministry, he enjoys hiking, playing basketball, strumming the guitar, fishing, watching Duke basketball games and Carolina Panther football games, and attending Blue Grass and Beach Music concerts.
